Black Mirror

Collaboration with Siji Chen on creating a show open and show package for the TV series, Black Mirror.The concept captures the contrast inherent in the series; the duality between technology and humanity, which is juxtaposed and emphasised across its episodes. Using minimalist and vaguely technological elements, this idea alludes to how technology takes over human thinking and living. Much of what is seen in the episodes are exaggerations of how technology advances and effects our lives in negative and dangerous ways. This treatment touches on combining technology and psychology. Using a black and white color palette emphasises the duality in the narrative and the sharp key lighting alludes to cold mechanical light inherent in the technological world.
